The Insights screen in the Masareefy app: the month's total spending against the same days last month

At a glance

Month Comparison

Compare current spending against previous months to identify changes clearly.

Change Analysis

Spot categories where your spending increased without tedious manual entries.

Bank-Free Security

We never ask for bank credentials or link to bank accounts. On Android, you can choose to let the app notice payment alerts from apps you pick; they are read on your phone, never sent to us except as an example you choose to send, and nothing is recorded until you tap Save unless you choose automatic recording yourself.

Home-Screen Widget

Scan receipts or quick-add purchases via home-screen widgets on Android phones only (not available to web apps).

Tools to understand your spending patterns

See where your money went and compare spending patterns month over month.

Advice written from your own ledger, twice a month

The AI budget assistant in Masareefy writes advice twice a month, and its only input is the last 90 days of purchases you recorded yourself. Every claim in that advice is verified against your own ledger before you see it, so no figure appears that you did not enter.

Think of it as a personal finance copilot without a chat window: advice written from your recorded purchases, twice a month. It points at where spending repeats or rises and suggests a cap for a specific category. If a suggestion makes sense, you accept it as a goal; if not, you ignore it — it never writes or edits your budget.

There is no assistant you talk to and no bank data behind the numbers. The advice only ever proposes; you decide, and underneath it Masareefy stays a plain record of what you actually logged. That is what AI personal finance should mean: a reader of your own entries, never an author of them.

Four questions the Insights screen answers

  1. How much you spent

The total for the period you pick and the number of purchases, against the same days last month.

  2. Where it went

Categories and merchants ranked by what you spent in each, and from each one you can review the purchases themselves.

  3. What changed

The categories where you spent more or less than the period before, and how much of the difference each one explains.

  4. What you can do

Ways to save worked out from the last ninety days. Some offer a button that sets a cap for that category; others take you to the purchases behind them or to the step that fits.
